Location: County Kildare, Ireland

Job Title:** Equestrian Stable Hand

Hours:** Minimum of 2 days per week, plus coverage for holiday periods (and other)

Are you an experienced equestrian professional looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and well-equipped environment? We are seeking a dedicated Stable Hand in County Kildare. This unique opportunity offers flexible relief work, with a minimum of two days per week including weekends and additional coverage during holiday periods (and other)

About the Role:

As a Stable Hand, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of our yard. You will work with horses, broodmares, and young stock, ensuring their care and well-being. In addition to equestrian duties, you will be responsible for general yard duties and other tasks as required by our client. This role offers the chance to work in a beautiful location with top-notch facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and care for horses, broodmares, and young stock.

  • Must be experienced at leading and turning in and out horses and young stock.

  • Perform general yard duties, including mucking out, feeding, grooming, and exercising horses.

  • Assist with routine health checks and administer medications as needed.

  • Support in the maintenance of yard facilities and equipment.

  • Carry out other general tasks as required by our client.

  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the yard.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in working with horses, broodmares, and young stock.

  • Strong understanding of equine care and management.

  • Ability to perform general yard duties efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.

  • Flexibility to cover additional days during holiday periods (and more)
